Namaste Pay is a newly introduced mobile wallet in Nepal by the Nepal Digital Payments Company (NDPC), a collaboration between Nepal Telecom and Rastriya Banijya Bank, prominent public enterprises in the telecom and banking sectors of Nepal, respectively. The Namaste Pay wallet service operates through multiple channels, including smartphone applications, USSD, and a web portal. Initially, the wallet offers features such as cash-in, cash-out, peer-to-peer transfers, and several utilities like telecom recharge, electricity bill payment, and water bill payment. Future releases will include a range of additional services:

• Bank Account Integration: Choose from over 9+ banks and expanding options for loading money to the wallet or transferring money from the wallet to a bank account.
• Cash-In: Conveniently load your wallet through mobile banking, banking services, debit/credit cards, Connect IPS, or authorized agents.
• Cash-Out: Easily transfer wallet funds to your bank account or convert your wallet balance to cash through nearby agents.
• Send and Request Money: Effortlessly send or request money from friends and family.
• Wallet to Wallet Transfer: Send money quickly and easily to other wallets, making transactions with friends and family seamless.
• Bank Transfer: Transfer money from your wallet to bank accounts in any bank or financial institution.
• Utilities Payment: Top-up telecom services or pay internet bills with just a few clicks. Pay for other utility services like water, electricity, DTH, etc., directly from your mobile device to avoid waiting in queues.
• Merchant Payments: Make payments to various online and offline merchants. Purchase movie tickets, flight tickets, bus tickets, medical services, dine at restaurants, buy groceries, shop online, or even pay for small purchases like a cup of tea. Namaste Pay is accepted at thousands of shops and outlets throughout Nepal.
• Government Payments: Conveniently pay taxes and fees to the government or receive government allowances quickly and hassle-free.
• Educational Institutions: Instantly pay fees for schools, colleges, universities, and professional institutions without any obstacles.
